WALSH RANCH near Meeker, Colorado
The Walsh Ranch is 600 acres of native grasses, sage, piñon and juniper. The land is rolling hills and flat meadows; it is utilized for cattle grazing and a pig rearing operation. For the second year, we have leased this private property for our Ute Lodge hunters.
Adjacent public lands are accessible from this private ground which extends the hunt.
Low country private land hunting is traditionally more successful than high country timber hunting with less effort. Our elk and deer success in 2022 was 13 kills for 19 hunters.
THE CAMP – The camp is comprised of two wall tents; one for sleeping, one for cooking. There is a SHOWER HOUSE with hot & cold water, towels, a dish washing station, and electric. The canvas SLEEP TENT on its wooden deck is equipped with lanterns, twin beds, wood stove & firewood, and electric for CPAP and/or device charging. The canvas COOK TENT is equipped with lanterns, propane cook stove, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, paper towels, garbage bags, coffee maker & filters, hot water kettle, fire extinguisher, table & chairs and electric for other cooking appliances. There is an OUT HOUSE.
YOU PROVIDE food, coolers for cold food, sleeping gear (pillow & sleeping bag), pack, meds, toiletries, sunscreen, rain gear, insect repellent (for early season hunts), weapon, ammo & license, hunting clothes, orange for rifle seasons, etc.

Old Baldy Back-country Yurt
The Old Baldy Yurt, a cabin-like structure, sits on the edge of our Ute Lodge property perched near the national forest. The landscape is a combination of aspen groves, dark timber, and open meadows.
Hunt the White River National Forest, or the Flat Tops Wilderness and also enjoy exclusive hunting privileges to over 250 acres of our private land.
4 Person Minimum when booking the Yurt for all Hunting Seasons.
Archery Season – 7 night – $1200/person
1st Rifle Season – 6 night – $1500/person
2nd Rifle Season – 7 night – $1500/person
3rd Rifle Season – 7 night – $1500/person
4th Rifle Season – 6 night – $1200/person
Our yurt is 2 miles back on the property which requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle. It is approximately 800 feet of elevation gain from the lodge.
